Ingredients

8 slices
Italian bread
5 tablespoons
Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
8 (3/4-ounce) slices
Land O Lakes® 4 Cheese Italian Blend
4 ounces
sliced deli salami
1/2 cup
roasted red pepper strips
1/3 cup
mild banana pepper rings
12 to 16
basil leaves, if desired

Directions

  1. Spread 1 side of each bread slice with about2 teaspoons butter.
  2. Layer 1 slice bread, buttered-side down, with 1 slice cheese, 3 to 4 basil leaves, 1/4 salami, 1/4 roasted red pepper strips, 1/4 banana pepper rings and 1 slice cheese. Top with 1 slice bread, buttered-side up.
  3. Heat 12-inch skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  4. Place 2 sandwiches into skillet; cook, turning once, 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining sandwiches.
