Ingredients

Cookies

1 1/2 cups
firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
1
large Land O Lakes® Egg
2 teaspoons
freshly grated lemon zest
2 cups
uncooked quick cooking oats or old-fashioned oats
1 1/2 cups
all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon
baking powder
1/2 teaspoon
salt

Stir-ins

1 cup
Stir-ins (see below)

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F. Combine brown sugar, butter, egg and lemon zest in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Reduce speed to low; add all remaining ingredients except stir-ins. Beat until well mixed.
  2. Stir in desired stir-ins.
  3. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  4. Bake for 10 to 14 minutes or until lightly golden brown on edges. Cool 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet. Cool completely.
