1 cup Land O Lakes® Butter softened
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
Combine all ingredients except flour in bowl. Beat at medium speed until creamy. Add flour; beat at low speed until well mixed.
Divide dough in half. Wrap each half in plastic food wrap; flatten slightly. Refrigerate 30 minutes or until firm.
Heat oven to 350°F.
Roll out dough on lightly floured surface, one-half at a time (keeping remaining dough refrigerated), to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut with 3-inch cookie cutters. Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are very lightly browned. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to cooling rack.

This is my favorite butter cookie recipe! I make several batches of these cookies every Christmas to the delight of family, friends and co-workers. Sometimes I will add vanilla or almond extract. These are foolproof and so easy to make!
These cookies were bland had no taste at all shouldn't there be perhaps am egg or dome vanilla extract in this recipe?
