Use split sandwich thins for a thin crispy crust on these family favorite pizzas.

1/2 pound ground turkey or lean ground beef
1 cup prepared pizza sauce
1/2 cup chopped turkey pepperoni or pepperoni slices
1/4 cup sliced green onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 multi-grain sandwich or bun thins, split
8 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Provolone Cheese
Chopped fresh parsley, if desired
Heat oven to 400°F. Place ground turkey in 10-inch nonstick skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 3-5 minutes or until no longer pink; drain. Stir in pizza sauce, pepperoni, green onion and salt.
Place split sandwich thins onto ungreased baking sheet, cut-side up. Top each with about 1/4 cup meat mixture; place 1 slice cheese over each pizza. Bake 7-9 minutes or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with chopped parsley, if desired.
- Sandwich thins are about 4-inches in diameter and are sold in the bread section of the supermarket. They have less carbohydrates than regular bread.
- Whole sandwich thins can be used for a thicker crust. Or, use split English muffins, if desired. Do not use bagel thins as they have hole in center.
