Ingredients

1 (13.8-ounce) package
refrigerated pizza crust dough
8 (3/4-ounce) slices
Land O Lakes® 4 Cheese Italian Blend, cut into quarters
1/2 cup
pizza sauce
32 slices
pepperoni
1/2 cup
sausage crumbles
1
large Land O Lakes® Egg, slightly beaten
 
Pizza sauce, if desired

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 450°F.
  2. Press dough into 15x10-inch rectangle. Cut into 8 (3 3/4x2 1/2-inch) rectangles.
  3. Place 2 quarters cheese onto half of each piece of dough 1/2-inch from edge. Top with 1 tablespoon pizza sauce, 4 slices pepperoni, 1 tablespoon sausage crumbles and 2 quarters cheese. Brush edges of dough with egg. Fold dough over filling, aligning edges. Press edges with fork to seal.
  4. Place onto greased baking sheet. Brush tops with egg. Bake 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Serve with additional pizza sauce, if desired.

Recipe Tips

- Prepare as directed above; cool. Wrap each in plastic food wrap; place into large resealable freezer bag. Freeze up to 2 months. To reheat, place 1 frozen hand pie onto microwave-safe plate; microwave 45-60 seconds or until heated through.

- For a meatball hand pie, substitute 12 meatballs cut into quarters (about 6 ounces). Make each hand pie as directed above substituting 6 pieces meatball for pepperoni and sausage.
