Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds (about 1 inch thick)
halibut steaks or fillets*, skin removed
1/4 teaspoon
salt
1 (3/4-ounce) slice
Land O Lakes® Swiss Cheese, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup
sour cream
1/4 cup
mayonnaise
3 tablespoons
thinly sliced green onions
3 tablespoons
grated Parmesan cheese
Paprika, if desired
 
*Substitute 1 1/2 pounds cod, snapper or grouper.

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 450°F. Pat halibut dry with paper towels; place into greased 13x9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle halibut with salt.
  2. Combine Swiss cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise and 2 tablespoons green onion in small bowl. Spread sour cream mixture evenly over halibut; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  3. Bake 15-20 minutes or until halibut flakes with fork; sprinkle with remaining green onion and paprika, if desired.

Recipe Tips

- Halibut is a fish that is white in color, has a mild flavor and is firm in texture.

- To be sure seasoning topping adheres to the fish, frozen fish should be completely thawed. Patting fish dry with paper towel also helps.
