Sage gives a tasty flavor to these Swiss cheese-topped turkey burgers.

Ingredients

1 pound
ground turkey
1/4 cup
chopped fresh sage
3/4 teaspoon
salt
1/2 teaspoon
coarse ground pepper
2 (3/4-ounce) slices
Land O Lakes® Swiss Cheese, cut in half
4
whole wheat hamburger buns
4 slices
tomato
4
lettuce leaves

Directions

  1. Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.
  2. Combine ground turkey, sage, salt and pepper in bowl. Form mixture into 4 patties.
  3. Place patties onto grill. Grill, turning occasionally, 15-16 minutes or until internal temperature reaches at least 165°F or until meat is no longer pink in center. Top each burger with 1 piececheese; let melt slightly.
  4. Remove burgers from grill; place burgers onto bottom half of buns. Top each with 1 slicetomato, 1 lettuce leaf and top half of bun.
