Ingredients

Sauce

1/3 cup
sour cream
2 tablespoons
chopped fresh cilantro

Burgers

1 pound
lean ground beef
1/4 cup
thick and chunky salsa
3/4 teaspoon
salt
1/2 teaspoon
pepper
4 (3/4-ounce) slices
Land O Lakes® Deli American, cut into quarters
8
slider or dollar-sized buns, split
8 slices
Roma tomato
4
Bibb lettuce leaves, halved
 
Jalapeño slices, if desired

Directions

  1. Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.
  2. Combine sour cream and cilantro in bowl. Cover; refrigerate until serving time.
  3. Combine ground beef, salsa, salt and pepper in bowl. Shape into 8 small patties.
  4. Place patties onto grill. Grill, turning once, 8-10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches at least 160°F and meat is no longer pink in center. Top each burger with 2 pieces cheese; let melt slightly.
  5. Top each bottom half of bun with 1 lettuce leaf half, 1 burger, 1 slice tomato, 2 teaspoons sour cream mixture and top half of bun. Garnish with jalapeño slices, if desired.
