Ingredients

4 (6-inch)
pita breads
1/2 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter, melted
1/4 cup
shredded Parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons
Italian seasoning

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cut each pita into 6 wedges; separate each wedge in half to equal 48 wedges; place into bowl.
  3. Place butter in glass measuring cup. Microwave 1 minute or until butter is melted. Stir in Parmesan cheese and seasoning. Immediately pour butter mixture over pita wedges in bowl; toss gently until well coated.
  4. Place pita wedges onto 2 (15x10x1-inch) baking pans in single layer. Bake 8 minutes. Turn each wedge over. Continue baking 4-6 minutes or until wedges are golden brown and crisp. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Recipe Tips

Variations:
Ranch Pita Chips: Omit Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Stir in 1 (1-ounce) package ranch-flavored dry salad dressing mix into melted butter.

Southwestern Pita Chips: Omit Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Stir in 2 teaspoons chili powder, 2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce and 1 teaspoon garlic salt into melted butter.

I made this as a quick snack when friends dropped in and served it with salsa. It was gone in a minute! The only problem I had was turning the 'chips' over half-way through cooking, but the end result was worth it.

I USED REYNOLDS WRAP RELEASE. NEXT TIME I WILL HALVE THE AMOUNT AND BAKE ON COOKIE SHEET. MY FAMILY LOVED IT.
