Ingredients

Sauce

2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter

1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1/3 cup milk

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

6 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Italian Blend, cut into quarters

Pizza

1 (10-ounce) pre-baked thin pizza crust

8 ounces frozen medium (41-50 count) cooked shrimp, thawed, patted dry, tails removed

1/4 cup seeded, chopped tomato

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Crushed red pepper, if desired

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 450°F.

  2. STEP 2

    Melt butter in small saucepan until sizzling; add garlic. Cook over medium heat 1 minute. Stir in flour; cook 1 minute. Add milk and nutmeg; continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 5-6 minutes or until thickened. Add cheese, stirring until melted.

  3. STEP 3

    Spread sauce evenly over crust to 1 inch from edge; top with shrimp and tomato.

  4. STEP 4

    Bake directly on oven rack 8-9 minutes or until sauce bubbles and begins to brown.

  5. STEP 5

    Sprinkle with cilantro. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serve with crushed red pepper, if desired.
