3/4 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons freshly grated orange zest
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 large Land O Lakes® Egg (yolk only)
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup ground, roasted salted pistachios
Coarse sea salt, if desired
Extra fine edible glitter or sparkling sugar, if desired
Heat oven to 375ºF.
Combine butter, sugar, orange zest, vanilla and salt in bowl; beat at medium speed until creamy. Add egg yolk; beat until well mixed. Add flour and ground pistachios; beat until well mixed.
Place mixture into cookie press fitted with desired template. Press cookies onto ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle cookies very lightly with sea salt and edible glitter or sparkling sugar, if desired.
Bake 5-6 minutes or until cookies just begin to brown on edges. Cool completely.
Use a cookie press template that has larger openings for best results. Pistachio pieces can get caught in small holes of more intricate designs.
