Ingredients

Brownie

3/4 cup
*Land O Lakes® Unsalted Butter
2/3 cup
sugar
1/2 cup
firmly packed brown sugar
1
large Land O Lakes® Egg
2 cups
all-purpose flour
1/2 cup
chopped pecans, toasted
1/2 teaspoon
baking powder
1/2 teaspoon
baking soda
1/2 teaspoon
salt

Glaze

1 cup
powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon
vanilla extract
3 to 5 teaspoons
milk
2 tablespoons
chopped pecans, toasted, if desired
 
*Substitute Land O Lakes® Salted Butter.

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 9-inch square or 11x7-inch baking pan; set aside.
  2. Melt butter in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar, brown sugar, and egg until well mixed. Stir in all remaining brownie ingredients; mix well.
  3. Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake 20-25 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.
  4. Combine powdered sugar, vanilla, and enough milk for desired glazing consistency in bowl. Drizzle over brownies. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons chopped pecans, if desired. Cut into bars.

Recipe Tips

- To toast pecans, spread onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350°F, 5-8 minutes, stirring once, or until lightly browned.

- To drizzle glaze over brownies, place glaze in small resealable plastic food bag. Snip off tiny corner of bag. Squeeze bag over brownies to drizzle glaze.
