We’ve used deli roast beef in these sandwiches for convenience, but using leftover cooked beef, pork, or chicken would also be great to give leftovers a tasty facelift.

This was easy and tasted okay, and the homemade barbecue sauce was very good, but the slow-cooking left the deli roast beef a little tough. If I made this again, I would probably use leftover chicken or turkey.
