Ingredients

Cheese Log

1 tablespoon Land O Lakes® Butter

3/4 cup finely chopped onion

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

8 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli American chopped

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1/8 teaspoon pepper

Garnish

1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley, if desired

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Melt butter in 8-inch skillet until sizzling; add onion. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 10-14 minutes, until onion is golden brown. Cool completely.

  2. STEP 2

    Stir cream cheese in medium bowl until smooth. Add onion and all remaining ingredients except 1/3 cup parsley and crackers; mix well.

  3. STEP 3

    Spoon mixture onto waxed paper. Cover with plastic food wrap; refrigerate 1 hour.

  4. STEP 4

    Shape cheese mixture into 10-inch log.  Roll in 1/3 cup parsley to coat. Wrap in plastic food wrap. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.

  5. STEP 5

    Serve with crackers. Store refrigerated.
