1 pound ground turkey
1/3 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 large Land O Lakes® Egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
1/4 cup milk
1 (1/4 cup) Half Stick (1/4 cup) Land O Lakes® Butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt
2 cups prepared marinara sauce
1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
8 store bought dinner rolls (or special slider rolls), halved
Place large skillet on stove over medium heat. Spread 2 tablespoons of Butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt lightly on the buns. Grill buns in the skillet until golden brown.
Combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, pepper, parsley and milk in bowl. Using a spoon (or your hands) mix until totally combined. Form into 8 uniform meatballs. Place on a plate and set aside.
Melt 2 tablespoons of Butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt in 12-inch skillet over medium heat, Add meatballs and sauté, 8 minutes, until cooked through. (Use a spatula to move the meatballs around the skillet as they cook.)Remove meatballs from pan and set aside.
Add onions to pan and cook, stirring occasionally, 3 minutes, until translucent. Pour in prepared marinara and stir to combine.
Place meatballs in sauce, stirring gently to coat. Cover and simmer, 10-14 minutes.
To serve, place meatballs on the bottom buns and immediately top with a spoonful of extra sauce and grated mozzarella. Top with other bun half.
Serve with Garlic & Herbed-Flavored Sweet Potato Fries.
