1/2 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Half & Half
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon poppy seed
2 ripe pears, cored, cubed
1 large red crisp apple, cored, cubed
1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries
5 (3/4-ounce) slice Land O Lakes® Swiss Cheese, cut into thin strips
1 (5- to 6-ounce) package salad greens
Whisk mayonnaise, sugar, half & half, vinegar and poppy seed together in bowl until well mixed. Add pears, apple, cranberries and cheese; toss to coat.
Line large platter with salad greens. Top with fruit mixture.
- Purchase pears for this salad several days ahead of time. They usually need a few days to completely ripen. To ripen pears, place them on the counter in a paper bag.
