Ingredients

1 (1-pound)
unsliced Italian bread loaf
1/3 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon
garlic salt
5 (3/4-ounce) slices
yellow Land O Lakes® Deli American, cut in half
5 (3/4-ounce) slices
white Land O Lakes® Deli American, cut in half
1 tablespoon
chopped fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cut loaf into 10 (1-inch) slices almost to bottom crust.
  3. Place 1 half slice yellow cheese and 1 half slice white cheese into each cut; sprinkle with parsley.
  4. Combine butter and garlic salt in bowl; mix well. Brush cut-sides of bread with butter mixture.
  5. Wrap loaves loosely in heavy-duty aluminum foil; seal top and ends.
  6. Bake 25-30 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
  7. Grilling Directions: Prepare bread as directed above. Heat 1 side of gas grill to medium or charcoal grill, placing coals to 1 side, until coals are ash white. Place bread onto grill opposite heat or coals. Cover; grill 25-30 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.

Loved the flavor and how easy it is to put together.

My kids are more mozzarella types and that's what we used. Also used fresh garlic which was fabulous. I made it for Xmas eve and every bit of two loaves were polished off. And it's easy.

Very easy. Great taste. I cut the slices of cheese in half and it was still plenty after melting. Family loved it. This recipe is a keeper.
