Small Batch Peanut Butter Cookies

Spice up your peanut butter cookies by rolling them in garam masala sugar.

Sugar Mixture

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon garam masala


1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1 Half Stick (1/4 cup) Land O Lakes® Butter

1/4 cup peanut butter

1 large Land O Lakes® Egg (yolk only)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper; set aside.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine sugar and garam masala in a small bowl; set aside.

  3. STEP 3

    Combine brown sugar, butter, and peanut butter in bowl. Beat on medium speed until well mixed. Add egg yolk and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Beat at low speed until well mixed.

  4. STEP 4

    Shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls; roll in sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheet. Flatten balls in criss-cross pattern with fork dipped in sugar mixture.

  5. STEP 5

    Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
