2 to 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 (1/4-ounce) envelope quick rise yeast

2 tablespoons sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup water

2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter


Land O Lakes® Butter, melted, if desired

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Combine 3/4 cup flour, yeast, sugar and salt in bowl; set aside.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine milk, water and butter in 2-quart saucepan; cook over medium heat until temperature reaches 120ºF to 130ºF. Add milk mixture to flour mixture; beat at medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally, until mixture is smooth. Increase speed to high; add 1/4 cup flour. Beat until well mixed. Stir in enough remaining flour to make soft dough.

  3. STEP 3

    Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface; knead 8-10 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Cover; let rest 10 minutes.

  4. STEP 4

    Divide dough into 12 equal pieces; shape each piece into a ball. Place into greased 8-inch round pan. Cover; let rise in warm place about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.

  5. STEP 5

    Heat oven to 375ºF.

  6. STEP 6

    Bake rolls 20-22 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan; brush with additional melted butter, if desired. Serve warm.
