Cat Quesadillas

3 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter

1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder

3/4 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)

1 (20-ounce) package lean ground turkey

24 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Sharp Cheddar American Blend


24 (6-inch) flour tortillas


Sliced black olives

Red bell pepper, cut into small triangles

Green onion, cut into strips

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Melt butter in 12-inch nonstick skillet just until sizzling. Stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic salt and ground red pepper. Add ground turkey; continue cooking over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, 6-10 minutes or until no longer pink. Remove meat from skillet; set aside. Wipe skillet with paper towel.

  2. STEP 2

    Cut tortillas with clean kitchen shears, using the cat template as a pattern.

  3. STEP 3

    Place 1 slice cheese into each center of 12 cat-shaped tortillas; layer with turkey mixture and 1 slice cheese. Top each with another cat-shaped tortilla; press together.

  4. STEP 4

    Cook quesadillas in same skillet over medium heat, turning once, 3-5 minutes or until golden brown on both sides. Place cooked quesadillas onto serving plate.

  5. STEP 5

    Decorate each quesadilla with olives, peppers and green onions to resemble face. Serve with sour cream.
