Easy Mashed Potatoes

10 cups (about 5 pounds) peeled russet potatoes, cut into 1-inch pieces


2 teaspoons salt

2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter

3/4 cup sour cream

1/4 to 1/2 cup milk



Paprika, if desired

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Place potatoes in 4-quart saucepan. Cover with water; add salt. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium; cook potatoes 15-18 minutes or until fork tender. Drain.

  2. STEP 2

    Place hot, cooked potatoes in bowl. Add all remaining ingredients. Mash with potato masher or beat with hand mixer until smooth.Salt and pepper to taste; sprinkle with paprika, if desired. Serve immediately.
