French Onion Fondue
 

Ingredients

Dip

3 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter

1 large (1 1/2 cups) onion, finely chopped

1/2 cup dry white wine  

12 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli American, chopped

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Dippers

Broccoli florets, cauliflower florets, baby-cut carrots, snow pea pods, bell pepper slices, blanched

French bread, cubed

 *Substitute water.

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Melt butter in 2-quart saucepan until sizzling; add onion. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 15-20 minutes or until onion is translucent and golden. Add wine. Continue cooking 2-4 minutes or until mixture just begins to boil. Add Deli American, 1/2 cup at a time, stirring until melted. Stir in pepper.

  2. STEP 2

    Transfer fondue to fondue pot or 1-quart electric slow cooker.

  3. STEP 3

    Serve with vegetables or French bread.
