Grilled Corn with Herb Butter

8 ears fresh corn, in husks


Herb Butter

3/4 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

2 tablespoons finely chopped red bell pepper

1/2 teaspoon Italian herb seasoning  

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

 *Substitute 1/8 teaspoon each dried oregano leaves, dried marjoram leaves and dried basil leaves and 1/16 teaspoon rubbed dried sage.

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Loosen husks on ears of corn enough to remove silk. Fill 8-quart saucepan with water. Dip corn in water; shake well. Rewrap husks around corn. Plunge corn into water; let stand 1 hour or until husks are soaked.

  2. STEP 2

    Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white. Combine all herb butter ingredients in small bowl until well mixed; set aside.

  3. STEP 3

    Place corn onto grill. Grill, turning often, 15-20 minutes or until corn is crisply tender. Immediately husk corn; serve with herb butter.
