Spicy Pork Tostadas
Tortillas are filled with a mixture of lean pork, spices and tomato sauce in this Southwestern recipe.

Ingredients
Pork
1 pound lean ground pork
1 large (1 cup) onion, finely chopped
4 teaspoons finely chopped fresh garlic
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce

2 teaspoon ground cumin1
2 teaspoon salt1
2 teaspoon pepper1
4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)12 (8-inch) flour tortillas, warmed
Toppings

2 cups shredded Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese1
2 cup sour cream3 cups finely chopped romaine lettuce

4 cup chopped sweet or red onion1 small (1
2 cup) tomato, chopped*Substitute 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh oregano leaves.
How to make

STEP 1
Place ground pork, onion and garlic in 10-inch skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 9-11 minutes or until pork is browned. Drain off fat.

Stir in all remaining pork ingredients except tortillas. Continue cooking 3-5 minutes or until heated through.

Spoon pork filling onto tortillas. Serve with toppings, as desired.
Tip #1
Variation: Spicy Taco Salad: Increase romaine lettuce to 6 cups; spoon pork mixture over lettuce. Serve with toppings as desired. Serve with tortillas.
