Stroganoff-Style Beef & Noodles

8 ounces (4 cups) uncooked dried extra-wide egg noodles

1 pound lean ground beef

1 small (1/2 cup) onion, chopped

4 ounces (1 cup) sliced fresh mushrooms

1 cup sour cream

3/4 cup cottage cheese

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Chopped fresh parsley

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain. Keep warm.

  2. STEP 2

    Cook ground beef, onion and mushrooms in 10-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 9-11 minutes or until beef is browned. Stir in all remaining ingredients except parsley. Continue cooking 3-5 minutes or until mixture is heated through and bubbly.

  3. STEP 3

    Spoon beef mixture over cooked noodles. Garnish with parsley.
