Salsa Mini Burgers



1/3 cup sour cream

2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro


1 pound lean ground beef

1/4 cup thick and chunky salsa

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

4 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli American, cut into quarters

8 slider or dollar-sized buns, split

8 slices Roma tomato

4 Bibb lettuce leaves, halved


Jalapeño pepper slices, if desired

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine sour cream and cilantro in bowl. Cover; refrigerate until serving time.

  3. STEP 3

    Combine ground beef, salsa, salt and pepper in bowl. Shape into 8 small patties.

  4. STEP 4

    Place patties onto grill. Grill, turning once, 8-10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches at least 160°F and meat is no longer pink in center. Top each burger with 2 pieces cheese; let melt slightly.

  5. STEP 5

    Top each bottom half of bun with 1 lettuce leaf half, 1 burger, 1 slice tomato, 2 teaspoons sour cream mixture and top half of bun. Garnish with jalapeño slices, if desired.
