Sparkling Pink Lemonade

1 cup sugar

1 1/2 cups (about 6 lemons) freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 liter club soda,   chilled

4 teaspoons grenadine syrup  

6-inch wooden skewers

Fresh fruit pieces (strawberries, melon balls, pineapple chunks, etc.)

 *Substitute 4 cups water. **Subsitute 4 teaspoons maraschino cherry juice.

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Combine sugar and lemon juice in 2-quart pitcher. Stir well; refrigerate at least 30 minutes.

  2. STEP 2

    Just before serving, add club soda. Stir in grenadine syrup.

  3. STEP 3

    Thread fruit pieces onto 6-inch wooden skewers to make kabobs. Place kabobs in glasses; add ice. Pour in lemonade mixture.
