Rebecca’s journey into the food world was a little different than that of her coworkers. She didn’t grow up in her grandmother’s kitchen and there was no secret spaghetti sauce recipe. Her mother, who owned a home daycare center, needed to prepare large quantities of kid-friendly food as quickly as possible.
It wasn’t until her teen years that Rebecca discovered the joys of cooking and baking from scratch. Since then, she’s been unstoppable; gaining experience as a cake decorator, caterer, line cook and deli manager. She even spent some time on a competitive cooking team! Rebecca combined her love of food and learning by pursuing a degree in food systems, concentrating her studies on food communications and journalism. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading and cooking with friends.
Her kitchen philosophy is that everything should be enjoyed in moderation and that you should always play with your food.
