White Cheddar Cheese Ball with Sweet Chile Sauce

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

4 ounces (1 cup) Land O Lakes® Sharp White Cheddar Farmstyle Cut Shredded Cheese

5 tablespoons hot pepper jelly, divided

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon chopped green onion

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Combine cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, 3 tablespoons pepper jelly and garlic powder in bowl. Using hand mixer, beat 1 minute or until light and fluffy. Transfer to large piece of plastic food wrap.

  2. STEP 2

    Using damp hands, form cheese mixture into a ball. Wrap tightly; refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.

  3. STEP 3

    To serve, microwave remaining 2 tablespoons pepper jelly in 10-second intervals, stirring between each, until jelly is liquid.

  4. STEP 4

    Unwrap cheese ball; place onto serving plate. Pour melted jelly over cheese ball; sprinkle with green onion.

  5. STEP 5

    Serve immediately with wonton strips, sesame or rice crackers or other dipper.

Tip #1

Cold cream cheese? Soften in a snap by removing foil wrapper, placing in a microwave-safe bowl and microwaving in 5-second bursts, checking for desired softness.
