Philly Cheese Steak

2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter, divided

1/2 cup thinly sliced green bell pepper

1/2 cup thinly sliced red bell pepper

1 medium (1 cup) yellow onion, sliced

1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak, sliced 1/8 inch thick

1 teaspoon seasoned salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

8 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli American

4 hoagie rolls, split

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Melt 1 tablespoon butter in large skillet. Add bell peppers and onion; cook 15 minutes or until vegetables are softened and lightly browned. Remove from skillet; set aside.

  2. STEP 2

    Melt remaining 1 tablespoon butter in same skillet; add steak. Cook 5 minutes or until desired doneness. Stir in seasoned salt and pepper. Place 1 slice cheese on bottom of each hoagie roll. Divide meat evenly among rolls. Top with onion mixture. Place another slice cheese on top.

  3. STEP 3

    Heat broiler. Place sandwiches under broiler to melt cheese.

Tip #1

Freeze steak 30 minutes before slicing (until firm but not frozen) for easiest slicing.
