Easy Mushroom Tart

Ingredients

1 sheet (from 16-ounce box) frozen puff pastry, thawed

2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Garlic & Herb Butter Spread

8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced

1/2 cup (3 ounces) thinly sliced shallots

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

4 ounces Land O Lakes® Gouda & Havarti Cheese Cubes

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

 

Balsamic glaze, as desired for garnish

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 400°F. Line sheet pan with parchment paper.

  2. STEP 2

    Place thawed puff pastry onto prepared sheet pan. With small knife, trace 3/4-inch edge around pastry, being careful not to cut fully through. Use fork to prick central area. Bake pastry 15 minutes or until pastry starts to puff and turn lightly golden. Remove from oven. Using spatula, gently press center of tart to flatten, leaving edges puffed.

  3. STEP 3

    Meanwhile, melt Garlic & Herb Butter Spread in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and shallots; cook, stirring frequently, 5 minutes or until mushrooms are lightly golden and shallots are tender. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.

  4. STEP 4

    Spread mushroom mixture evenly over cooked pastry. Top with cheese cubes. Bake 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and edges are golden. Garnish with fresh thyme and balsamic glaze as desired.
