Cheddar Garlic Biscuits

Ingredients

2 cups (240 grams) all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, cut into small pieces

6 ounces (1 1/2 cups) Land O Lakes® Sharp Yellow Cheddar Cheese Chunk, shredded

1 cup whole milk

1/3 cup Land O Lakes® Garlic & Herb Butter Spread, melted

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine flour, baking powder, garlic powder and salt in large bowl; whisk until well mixed. Add butter; cut in butter with pastry blender or your hands until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add cheese and milk; stir until fully combined. Scoop scant 1/4 cupfuls onto prepared baking sheet.

  3. STEP 3

    Bake 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. Brush hot biscuits with melted Garlic & Herb Butter Spread. Serve warm.

Tip #1

Use a box grater to grate the cold butter into small pieces—no need for a pastry blender!
