Steak Salad with Cowboy Butter Ranch Dressing

Ingredients

1 (8-ounce) head (5 cups) romaine lettuce, chopped

4 to 6 ounces (1 to 1 1/2 cups) Grilled Steak with Cowboy Butter, cubed 3/4 inch

4 ounces (1 cup) Land O Lakes® Co-Jack® and Pepper Jack Cheese Cubes

1 medium (1 1/2 cups) tomato, diced

1 medium (1 cup) avocado, pitted, peeled, diced 1/2 inch

1 medium (1 cup) navel orange, peeled, cut into segments, diced

1 small (1 1/2 cups) jicama, peeled, diced

1/4 cup red onion, diced

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1 recipe Cowboy Butter Ranch Dipping Sauce

Freshly ground pepper, to taste

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Place chopped lettuce in large salad bowl. Add steak, cheese cubes, tomato, avocado, orange, jicama and red onion. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt. Toss with 1/2 cup dressing until coated. Season with additional salt and pepper, if desired. Serve with additional dressing on the side.

Tip #1

Use any leftover dressing as a dip for fries and chips, or as a pizza sauce with favorite toppings.

Tip #2

Jicama is a crisp, mildly sweet root veggie. To prep it, cut off the ends, peel the thick skin with a knife, and slice into sticks or cubes for a fresh, juicy crunch.
