Ingredients

1 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
1/2 cup
sugar
1/4 cup
unsweetened cocoa
1 tablespoon
water
2 teaspoons
vanilla
2 cups
all-purpose flour
1 (3.25-ounce) jar (2/3 cup)
macadamia nuts, finely chopped
3/4 cup
powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 325°F. Combine butter and sugar in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed. Add cocoa, water and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Reduce speed to low; add flour. Beat until well mixed. Stir in macadamia nuts by hand.
  2. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until set. Remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely. Roll in powdered sugar..

Recipe Tips

Want a little variety? Substitute finely chopped blanched hazelnuts or walnuts for the macadamia nuts. Still need more options? Add 1/4 teaspoon almond extract or coconut flavoring along with the vanilla.

You do not taste the chocolate in this recipe. The cookie is still good, but I would not make them again. I want a chocolate cookie to taste like chocolate.
