Cinnamon Snack Toss

A hint of cinnamon enhances this crispy caramel snack toss. It's made in the microwave so it's super easy!

Ingredients

5 cups wheat, corn or rice cereal

1 cup salted peanuts

1/2 cup salted whole roasted almonds

1 Half Stick (1/4 cup) Land O Lakes® Butter

1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar

2 tablespoons light corn syrup

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

3/4 cup caramel candy corn  

3/4 cup candy-coated chocolate pieces or dark chocolate chips

 

 *Substitute candy corn flavor appropriate for the season or use caramel candy bits.

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Combine cereal, peanuts and almonds in bowl; set aside.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and cinnamon in small glass measuring cup. Microwave, stirring after each minute, 1-2 minutes or until mixture boils.

  3. STEP 3

    Pour butter mixture over cereal mixture; stir to coat. Microwave 5 minutes, stirring after each minute. Pour mixture onto waxed paper. Sprinkle with candy corn and chocolate pieces.

  4. STEP 4

    Cool completely. Store in container with tight-fitting lid.
