4 tablespoons instant coffee granules

12 ounces (1 1/2 cups) hot water

Spicy Whipped Cream

1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Heavy Whipping Cream

1 tablespoon powdered sugar

1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Dash ground nutmeg

Coffee Extras

Chocolate curls, freshly grated orange zest, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, sweetened whipped cream, brown sugar and your favorite liqueurs

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Beat 1/2 cup whipping cream in bowl at high speed, scraping bowl often, until soft peaks form. Continue beating, gradually adding powdered sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, until stiff peaks form.

  2. STEP 2

    Mix coffee and water until well combined. Top with spicy whipped cream, add coffee extras or prepare variations, as desired.

  3. STEP 3

    Variations (use strong brewed coffee):

    Irish Coffee: Stir in Irish whiskey and sugar to taste. Top with sweetened whipped cream.
    Almond Coffee: Stir in almond flavored liqueur to taste. Top with sweetened whipped cream and toasted sliced almonds. For non-alcoholic Almond Coffee use medium brewed coffee. Stir in almond extract and sugar to taste. Top with sweetened whipped cream and toasted sliced almonds.
    Mexican Coffee: Stir in coffee-flavored liqueur to taste. Top with sweetened whipped cream; sprinkle with brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
    Chocolate Coffee: Stir in chocolate-flavored syrup and cream to taste.
    Iced Coffee: Cool coffee; serve over ice. Stir in sugar, cream and/or milk to taste, if desired.
    Coffee 'n Cream: Stir in your favorite flavor ice cream to taste.

Tip #1

Start with fresh cold water to make coffee.

Tip #2

To make a slightly weaker coffee mix 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules with 12-ounce (1 1/2 cups) hot water. 

Tip #3

To make strong coffee mix 6 tablespoons instant coffee granules with 12 ounces (1 1/2 cups) hot water.
