Frosted Cranberry Orange Drops

Ingredients

Cookie

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter softened

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup honey

2 large Land O Lakes® Eggs

2 teaspoons freshly grated orange zest

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup sweetened dried cranberries

Frosting

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1 tablespoon Land O Lakes® Butter softened

1 to 3 tablespoons orange juice

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 350°F.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine all cookie ingredients except cranberries in bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until smooth. Stir in cranberries.

  3. STEP 3

    Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls, 1 inch apart, onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake 7-9 minutes or until edges just begin to brown. Remove from cookie sheets; cool completely.

  4. STEP 4

    Combine powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon butter in bowl. Beat at low speed until well mixed. Beat in enough orange juice for desired spreading consistency. Frost cooled cookies..

I first made these cookies about 5 years ago as my new recipe for the holidays. It is now a standard on my Christmas Cookie platters. Love them!
