Ingredients

1/2 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
1 tablespoon
chopped fresh tarragon leaves*
1 teaspoon
lemon juice
4 (1-inch thick)
salmon steaks
 
*Substitute 1 teaspoon dried tarragon leaves.

Directions

  1. Spread remaining butter mixture onto both sides of each salmon steak.
  2. Heat one side of gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white. Place coals to one side in charcoal grill. Make aluminum foil drip pan; place opposite heat.
  3. Combine all ingredients except salmon in bowl. Reserve half of mixture; set aside.
  4. Place salmon onto grill over drip pan. Grill, turning once, 10-12 minutes or until salmon flakes with fork. Serve salmon with reserved butter mixture.
  5. Variations: Substitute either of the following butters for tarragon butter.
  6. Lemon-Chive Butter: Stir together 1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened, 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives, 2 teaspoons chopped fresh chives, 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest and 4 to 6 drops hot pepper sauce in bowl.
  7. Garlic-Parsley Butter: Stir together 1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened, 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley and 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt in bowl.
