Ingredients

Burgers

1/4 cup
finely chopped onion
1 pound
lean ground beef
1 (4-ounce) can
chopped green chiles
1 teaspoon
hot pepper sauce
1/2 teaspoon
salt
4 (3/4-ounce) slices
Land O Lakes® Deli American

Toppings

Jalapeño chiles
Lettuce
Salsa
Sour cream
Tomato slices

Directions

  1. Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.
  2. Combine onion, ground beef, chiles, hot pepper sauce and salt in bowl; mix lightly. Shape into 4 (4-inch) patties.
  3. Place patties onto grill. Grill, turning once, 15-18 minutes or until desired doneness.
  4. Place burgers onto serving plate; top with cheese slices. Serve with desired toppings.

Recipe Tips

Broiling Directions: Heat broiler. Prepare patties as directed above. Place patties onto ungreased broiler pan. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat, turning once, 15-20 minutes or until desired doneness. Serve as directed above.
