Ingredients

Cookie

1 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
1 1/2 cups
powdered sugar
1 tablespoon
vanilla
2 3/4 cups
all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons
Land O Lakes® Fat Free Half & Half
1/4 teaspoon
salt

assorted candies and/or whole candied cherries

White Glaze

2 cups
powdered sugar
3 to 4 tablespoons
Land O Lakes® Fat Free Half & Half

Chocolate Glaze

1 cup
powdered sugar
1 (1-ounce) square
unsweetened baking chocolate, melted
1 teaspoon
vanilla
2 to 3 tablespoons
Land O Lakes® Fat Free Half & Half

Decorations

Decorator sugar, decorator sprinkles or finely chopped nuts, if desired

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. 
  2. Combine butter, 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed. Add flour, half & half and salt; beat at low speed until mixture forms a dough.
  3. Shape 1 tablespoon dough around each candy, keeping shape rounded, forming ball. Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 12-15 minutes or until firm to the touch and set. Cool completely.
  4. Place cooling racks over waxed paper. Stir together 2 cups powdered sugar and enough half & half for desired glazing consistency in small bowl. Combine 1 cup powdered sugar, melted chocolate and vanilla in another small bowl. Add enough half & half for desired glazing consistency. Dip tops of cookies in glazes, as desired. Place onto cooling rack, letting icing drip down sides. Immediately sprinkle with decorations, as desired. Let stand on cooling racks until set.
