1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
2 ounces (1/2 cup) shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon coarse ground pepper
Heat oven to 350°F.
Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Beat at medium speed just until soft dough forms.
Press dough evenly onto bottom of ungreased 8-inch square baking pan. Bake 32-37 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes in pan on cooling rack. While still warm, carefully cut into squares. Cool completely.
For appetizer servings, cut each square in half diagonally.

These are very tasty, but very very crumbly. I used fresh herbs from my garden instead of dried, and used the big four...parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme. They went very well with the roasted carrot soup also from this site. Will make again.
