A flaky pastry with an orange pecan topping -- perfect for morning coffee.
1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon freshly grated orange zest
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter softened
Heat oven to 375°F.
Unfold thawed pastry; cut into 3 strips along fold lines. Place 1 to 2 inches apart onto parchment-lined baking sheet. Prick each strip 4 to 6 times with fork.
Combine sugar and orange zest in small bowl. Stir in pecans. Add butter; mix well. Spread each strip with 1/3 topping mixture.
Bake 14-17 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Cool. (Pastry will collapse while cooling). Cut each strip diagonally into 1-inch slices with sharp knife. Serve warm or cool.
