1 cup sugar

1 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup salted peanuts or chopped salted cashews

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter

1 to 2 tablespoons hot water

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 375ºF.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine sugar, butter and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add flour and salt; beat at low speed until well mixed. (Mixture will form clumps.) Stir in peanuts and chocolate chips by hand.

  3. STEP 3

    Press dough onto bottom of ungreased 15x10x1-inch baking pan. Bake 15-25 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool completely.

  4. STEP 4

    Stir together powdered sugar and peanut butter in medium bowl. Gradually add enough hot water for desired glazing consistency. Drizzle over cooled bars. Cut into bars or break into irregular pieces..

Tip #1

Almond Bark: Omit peanuts and chocolate chips. Omit peanut butter in glaze.Prepare bars using 1 cup sliced almonds and 1 cup milk chocolate chips. Prepare glaze using 2 tablespoons softened butter and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.

Decrease oven temperature to 350°F. for nonstick baking pan. Bake 23-28 minutes.
