We made these as a dish-to-pass for a weinie roast this weekend and they were a hit! We made half with regular graham crackers and half with the chocolate grahams. We chose to leave out the peanuts and cut them in small bars (as pictured). While very sweet the small serving helped keep them from being overwhelming and made a perfect finger food.
P.S. I forgot to mention: Line the cookie sheet with foil, then spray/grease. The cookies will come out alot easier. Also, no mess.
WOW! I wasn't sure I'd like the peanuts, but they really added to the balance of the sweet. Loved this recipe, so did everyone else. ;-)
I loved the ease of making this recipe and it tasted very good. But like I thought, it was a bit difficult to get it out of the pan and the caramel/butterscotch stuff on top was a little more crunchy than I had expected I thought it would be chewy. but it satisfied my chocolate s'more cravings!
This is extremely rich. It is more like a candy bar than a cookie. I did not care for the peanuts in the recipe.
