This dessert bar is a long time favorite recipe that comes from a dairy farm where three generations still enjoy it.

2 cups raisins
1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup Land O Lakes® Butter softened
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 cup sugar
3 large Land O Lakes® Eggs (yolks only)
3 tablespoons cornstarch
Heat oven to 350°F.
Place raisins and water into 2-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat 10-12 minutes or until raisins are soft and plump. Drain; cool 30 minutes. Set aside.
Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, butter and baking soda in bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press 3 cupscrumb mixture onto bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch baking pan.
Combine sugar, sour cream, egg yolks and cornstarch in 2-quart saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, 15-20 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in raisins.
Spread filling over crumb crust; sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Bake 25-35 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely; cut into bars.

These are wonderful and buttery! I use maple flavoring in the raisin filling and it adds so much to this recipe!
1 tsp vanilla added to the filling. Make sure the filling does not scorch while cooking.
