Toasted pecans in a rich caramel sauce.  Great over homemade ice cream on a make-your-own sundae bar.

Ingredients

1 cup
light corn syrup
1/2 cup
sugar
1/3 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter
1
large Land O Lakes® Egg, slightly beaten
1 tablespoon
vanilla extract
1 cup
pecan halves, toasted

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except pecans in 2-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, 6-8 minutes or until mixture comes to a full boil.
  2. Just before serving, stir in pecans. Serve warm or cool over ice cream or cake.

Recipe Tips

Toasting pecans enhances nut flavor. Place pecans onto baking sheet in single layer. Bake at 325°F, 8-10 minutes.

We used a blend of leftover syrups and pecan pieces. Worked great on Apple pancakes and should be perfect on peach frozen yogurt.
