Ingredients

Crust

chocolate creme-filled cookies*, finely crushed
1 tablespoon
sugar
3 tablespoons
Land O Lakes® Butter, melted

Filling

1 (8-ounce) package
cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup
sugar
1
large Land O Lakes® Egg
1 teaspoon
vanilla extract
1/2 cup
English or almond toffee bits
 
*Substitute 1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs or 1 cup graham cracker crumbs.

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine all crust ingredients in bowl; mix well. Press mixture onto bottom of ungreased 8-inch square baking pan. Bake 10 minutes.
  3. Combine all filling ingredients except toffee bits in bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until smooth. Gently stir in 1/3 cup toffee bits.
  4. Spread filling over hot, partially baked crust. Sprinkle with remaining toffee bits. Continue baking 23-28 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely; cut into bars. Store refrigerated.

I skipped the toffee bits because one of my friends turned out to be allergic, but these were still a hit.

I have made this for the past 3 years for a family Christmas party and each time, there are no bars left to take home. A favorite treat by all who attend.
