Caramelized Onion Dip

1 Half Stick (1/4 cup) Land O Lakes® Butter

2 medium (2 cups) yellow onions, chopped

2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh garlic

1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup mayonnaise

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Melt butter in 10-inch skillet until sizzling. Add onions, garlic and parsley flakes; sauté over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, 20-25 minutes or until onions are tender and deep golden brown.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine cream cheese and mayonnaise in bowl; beat until smooth. Stir in caramelized onions. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.

  3. STEP 3

    Serve with pita chips.

Dip can be made a day ahead. Store refrigerated.
