1 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

2/3 cup sugar

1 large Land O Lakes® Egg

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

24 (1/4-ounce) individually wrapped assorted miniature chocolate candy bars, cut in half

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 375°F. Fit cookie press with ribbon template.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add flour; beat at low speed until well mixed.

  3. STEP 3

    Divide dough in half. Fill cookie press with one-half of dough. Press onto ungreased cookie sheets in 5 (15-inch long) continuous ribbons.

  4. STEP 4

    Place candy bar halves, 1/2 inch apart, onto dough strips. Fill cookie press with remaining dough; press in ribbons over candy. Lightly press edges of dough together. Score between candy pieces with table knife. Bake 10-15 minutes or until edges are very lightly browned. Cut cookies apart at score marks while warm.

Tip #1

Assorted miniature chocolate candy bars can be found prepackaged in the candy section of your supermarket. Chocolate-covered toffee bars or chocolate-covered coconut bars can also be used. For an extra surprise, substitute nuts, dates or spice drops for the chocolate bars.
