 
                    Strawberry Sugared Donuts

Ingredients
Donuts
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
14 teaspoon ground nutmeg
14 teaspoon salt
23 cup sugar
12 cup Land O Lakes® Half & Half
1 Half Stick (1/4 cup) Land O Lakes® Butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Strawberry Sugar
23 cup freeze-dried strawberry slices
1 cup sugar
Vegetable oil
How to make
- 
                                    STEP 1 Combine flour, baking powder, nutmeg and salt in bowl; set aside. 
- 
                                    STEP 2 Combine all remaining donut ingredients in another bowl; beat with whisk until well mixed. Add flour mixture; mix well. Cover; chill at least 2 hours or overnight. 
- 
                                    STEP 3 Place strawberries in food processor bowl fitted with metal blade; pulse until finely ground. Add 1 cup sugar; pulse to mix well. Transfer to shallow dish.

                                    STEP 4 Heat 3 inches oil to 360ºF in deep fat fryer or Dutch oven. 
- 
                                    STEP 5 Roll dough to about 1/2-inch thickness on lightly floured surface. Cut with 3-inch round biscuit cutter. Cut out centers with 1-inch cutter.

                                    STEP 6 Gently place 3 donuts and 3 donut holes into oil. Cook 1 minute; flip donuts. Continue cooking 1 minute or until golden brown. Transfer to cooling rack placed over paper towels. Cool about 1 minute. Repeat with remaining donuts making sure oil temperature returns to about 360ºF in between batches.

                                    STEP 7 Place donuts into strawberry sugar mixture while still warm; turn to coat.
